ArcQuest

Last updated: 2026-09-10

ArcQuest is an offline puzzle game about chaining numbered rune-stones into a single arc across a moonlit grove. This policy describes what ArcQuest does and does not do with your data. The short version: ArcQuest does not collect, transmit, or share any personal information.

1Information we collect

None. There is no account, no sign-in and no email address anywhere in ArcQuest. The keeper name and sigil shown on your profile default to "Grovekeeper" and can be changed by you at any time; both are written to the game's own database on your device and are never uploaded.

2Data stored on your device

To make the app work, ArcQuest stores the following only on your device, using the operating system's local storage:

  • Level progress across the grove chapters — which levels are cleared and the record you set on each.
  • Run history: groves played, arcs drawn and your best chain.
  • Upgrades and offerings you have unlocked, and your ember balance.
  • Achievements and renown milestones.
  • The keeper name and sigil you choose for your profile.
  • Preferences — sound, haptics and tutorial flags — kept in the app's own settings store.

This data never leaves your device. It is not uploaded to ArcQuest or to any third party. Uninstalling the app or clearing its storage deletes all of it permanently.

3Permissions

No runtime permissions are requested: ArcQuest never asks for the camera, microphone, location, contacts, photos or storage. The Android manifest declares the standard INTERNET permission that ships with a Flutter project, but the app contains no code that opens a connection, so nothing is ever sent.

4Network use

ArcQuest plays entirely offline. There is no HTTP client, no socket, no cloud sync and no remote configuration in the app — every level, every record and every unlock is computed and stored on your device. The game behaves the same way in airplane mode.

5Third-party services

No third-party SDKs are integrated: no analytics, no crash reporting, no advertising network, no attribution kit, no social login. ArcQuest is built on open-source Flutter packages — sqflite and shared_preferences for local storage, Riverpod for state, and small animation helpers — all of which run on-device and transmit nothing.

6Children's privacy

ArcQuest is appropriate for all ages. It collects no data, shows no advertising and contains no purchases or external links, so there is no personal information belonging to a child for anyone to hold, sell or share. That satisfies COPPA and the GDPR provisions covering children structurally, not just as a policy statement.

7Your rights

All game data sits in ArcQuest's own local database and settings store, under your control. Uninstalling the app removes every trace of it; on Android you can also wipe it in place through Settings › Apps › ArcQuest › Storage › Clear data. Nothing is stored on a server, so there is no export, deletion or access request to make.

8Changes to this policy

If this policy ever changes, the "Last updated" date at the top of this page will be revised. Material changes will be noted in the app's release notes.
