PagePerchLog Privacy Policy · Updated 2026-09-23

A short note on your data.

PagePerchLog does not collect, transmit, or share any personal information. Everything you log stays on your device.

PagePerchLog is a reading tracker that keeps the books you want to read, are reading and have finished on one shelf, with page logs, saved passages and a yearly reading goal. The pages that follow describe, in plain language, what the app does and does not do with the things you type into it.

I · Collection

Information we collect

None. There is no account to create, no sign-in, no email address to hand over and no profile held on a server. The display name and monogram you can set on the profile screen are typed by you and saved only in this app’s own storage on your phone — they are never sent anywhere, and no identifier of any kind is generated for you or attached to your reading.

II · Storage

What lives on your device

For the app to work, the following is kept in the operating system's local storage, on your phone, and nowhere else:

None of it is uploaded. Uninstalling the app removes every byte.

III · Permissions

What the app asks for

PagePerchLog requests no runtime permissions at all — no camera, no microphone, no location, no contacts, no photo library, no notifications. The Android package declares the standard INTERNET permission that ships with the Flutter framework, but the app contains no networking code and never opens a connection.

IV · Network

What goes over the wire

The app is fully offline. It has no servers, no API calls, no cloud sync and no telemetry, and it works identically in airplane mode. The one time content leaves the app is when you tap Share on a saved passage or on your reading record: Android’s own share sheet opens and you choose where that text goes. PagePerchLog neither picks the destination nor keeps a copy of what you shared.

V · Third parties

Who else is involved

None are integrated. There is no analytics SDK, no advertising or attribution library, no crash reporter and no in-app purchase or billing component. The app is built from the Flutter framework plus open-source packages that run entirely on the device — Hive for local storage, Provider for state, fl_chart for the reading charts, and the platform share sheet.

VI · Children

Younger readers

PagePerchLog is suitable for all ages. Because it collects nothing, transmits nothing and shows no advertising, it cannot knowingly or unknowingly gather personal information from a child under 13 (COPPA) or under 16 (GDPR-K). No parental consent mechanism is needed, because there is no data flow for a parent to consent to.

VII · Your rights

What you can do

Your reading data never leaves your phone, so there is nothing held by us to request, export, correct or erase — you already hold the only copy. You can edit or delete any book, log, passage or profile detail from inside the app at any time. To remove everything at once, uninstall PagePerchLog, or use Android’s Settings → Apps → PagePerchLog → Storage → Clear storage. Either action wipes the local database permanently; because there is no backup on our side, deleted data cannot be recovered.

VIII · Revisions

Changes to this policy

If anything in this policy changes, the date at the top of the page will be revised, and material changes will appear in the app's release notes.
