Nothing is collected by us. BubbleThump has no account, no sign-in and no server-side player record, and it never asks for your email address, phone number, contacts or any other identifier. The only thing you can type into the game is an optional display name on the Record screen, which defaults to “Lantern Keeper” until you change it; together with the sigil you pick, it is written to the game’s own save file on your device and is used solely to label your own stats screen. Neither is transmitted anywhere, and you are free to enter something that is not your real name.
To make the app work, BubbleThump stores the following only on your device, using the operating system's local storage:
This data never leaves your device. It is not uploaded to BubbleThump or to any third party. Uninstalling the app or clearing its storage deletes all of it permanently.
None. BubbleThump’s Android manifest and iOS property list declare no runtime permissions at all — no camera, microphone, location, contacts, photos, storage or notification access is ever requested, because the game needs none of them to run.
BubbleThump is entirely offline. The app ships no HTTP client, no socket code and no third-party network SDK, and it opens no connection of any kind — not at first launch, not during play, not in the background. It behaves identically in airplane mode. The single exception is under your control: tapping Share on the Record screen opens your device’s own system share sheet with one line of text (how many ascents you have cleared and how many stars you have earned) that you may then send to an app you choose. BubbleThump never sends that line by itself and cannot see what you do with it.
None that process your data. There is no analytics, advertising, attribution, crash-reporting or in-app-purchase SDK in the build — no Firebase, no AdMob, no Crashlytics, no billing library. The open-source Flutter packages BubbleThump does ship (sqflite for the local save file, share_plus for the system share sheet, plus layout, state and animation helpers) run entirely on your device and report nothing to their authors or to us.
BubbleThump is suitable for all ages and is safe for children. Because the game collects nothing, transmits nothing and shows no advertising, there is no personal information for a child to disclose and nothing that could be used to profile, track or contact one. We therefore knowingly hold no data from a user of any age, including anyone under 13 (COPPA) or under 16 (GDPR-K). No parental-consent mechanism is needed, because no consent-triggering data is ever gathered. The display name is free text stored only on the device, so a parent may wish to suggest a nickname rather than a real name.
Everything BubbleThump stores lives in one database file inside the app’s private sandbox on your device, so you already hold all of it and we hold none of it. You can overwrite your display name and sigil at any time from the Record screen. To erase the rest, uninstall BubbleThump — Android and iOS delete the app’s sandbox along with it — or, on Android, use Settings › Apps › BubbleThump › Storage › Clear storage to reset the save file without removing the game. Because nothing was ever sent to us, requests to access, correct, export or delete your data can be satisfied entirely by you, on your own device, at any moment.
